Job Description:
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor the trading system, identify and resolve pre or post launch issues
- Manage daily changes and communicate timely status updates to the relevant working parties and/ management
- Identify, diagnose and trouble-shoot complex problems to keep trading online
- Automate software distribution and deployments for Linux and Windows applications to speed up the application deployments
- Build new tools to manage trading system for reduced efforts and errors
- Work with Risk and trading teams to understand and facilitate gathering of system requirements
- For experienced candidates, you will be required to:
- automate software deployment process for enhanced efficiency
- review and revise software development and infrastructure team working process so as to explore opportunities for improved efficiency and effectiveness
- adopt new monitoring tools to measure software/hardware performance to enhance deliverables of the development and infrastructure team
Key Requirements:
- Financial industry experience is required
- Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
- Familiar with Windows and Linux platforms, at least 1 to 3 years of experience using, managing, or developing on Linux system
- Familiar with configuration management systems (Salt, Puppet, Chef, etc) and monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Nagios, Cacti, etc)
- Fluent with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl, etc)
- Must have excellent English communication skills, both written & verbal
- Must be able to manage multiple projects/priorities at the same time and have high tolerance for continually shifting priorities
